When we had to pick sides in class I wasn’t expecting Mr. Maxwell to change the rolls. That help me to be able and make me see it in another other way. I chose the side were I didn’t believe torture should be acceptable but and the end I think it should be but only to those who have harmed others. Also those who know something that can save hundreds of people.

I agree that this was a morally difficult exercise for me, too. I realize that as a citizen of the world, it's my duty to form an opinion on issues that affect me, but it's so hard to choose a side(s)--whatever they may be.

One point that Jesus brought up in class is that of religion. I, too, as a Christian, realize that in the end, it is He who is in control. We torture to get information because we feel that it is in our hands whether or not the atomic bomb, planted by the terrorist, will detonate. But as a Christian, I believe that we don't decide if it will explode--if God meant for it to explode, then it will.

I think that's enough pot stirring :)
